Who Am I?

Professionally

Working as a Software Engineer for the last 31 months, I specialize in MERN stack development, Restful APIs and microservices, data-driven intelligence, automation etc. In my spare time, I love to be a part of the ever-growing tech community, hackathons and entrepreneurship events where I join as a participant, mentor, workshop leader, etc.

Personally

I am a tech enthusiast passionate about edge-cutting technologies like Full Stack, Robotics, IoT and Computer Vision. Additionally, I also love to explore writing, science fiction, cosmos, mathematics and time travel. I relish digging deep into the mystical mathematics that appears to me as the answer to unveil the deepest enigmas of the Universe.

For me, the world is nothing more than a complex mathematical model embedded with tons of analytical functions and expressions which has been programmed by the almighty god who is probably the greatest mathematician and programmer of all time!

My Water Chain

  • Honorable Mention at Spark Blockchain Hack
  • IoT to monitor Sensor Reading
  • Computer Vision for Virtual Flow Rate
  • MongoDB as the database
  • Flask as Backend server and React JS as frontend

About

My Water Chain is a full stack project integrated with IoT. I designed the entire project architecture using Raspberry Pi as the Brain of hardware control system and water sensors.

Raspberry Pi creates it's local server where it pings to the backend database, that was built on Python (Flask).

It communicates with the server to verify it's identity and then keeps monitoring the data and send the real time updates.

CoviFitness

  • Pygame Interface for dynamic actions
  • Computer Vision for movement detection
  • Virtual JoyStick for Jump Height Calibration
  • Virtual JoyStick to detect hand gestures

About

Due to extreme slowdown in the pandemic, we all have been used to staying on our beds all the time.

Covi Fitness is a simple Virtual game that responds to your movements and using computer vision,

it translates it as a virtual joystick to control the character's movement in the game!

GeeCorn

  • Category Winner at FlutterThon 2020
  • Tinder for Geeks to meet and learn new things this pandemic
  • Matches users based on their area of expertise and interests
  • Fluid UI and Column View

About

Gee-Corn is a Flutter based mobile app which allows geeks all around the world to discover their partners with common interests and accordingly learn a new skill.

At the moment, the application is down due to some bugs and I don't have time to relaunch it. Would love to collaborate and work with

someone on this as a hackathon project and maybe we could take it from there.

The Third Eye

  • Top 30 Award at PennAppsXX among 1200 global hackers.
  • Google Cloud Vision and Azure Vision API for moment description and object Identification
  • OpenCV Dlib module for facial recognition and registration.
  • Alexa integrated Flutter Application for providing best User Experience

About

The Third Eye is an all in one solution for the visually impaired people. With the help of advance computer vision algorithms and cloud vision API, we have created an experience for the users to see the world differently.

The vibration motors and the ultrasonic sensors helps in building a 3D distance map and accurately compute things going around the surroundings. Azure API moment detection helps users to capture and live the moment with others without gettint the feeling of left out.

Capitol One Transaction API allows the user to perform purchase and money transfer with ease!

Agrobuddy

  • Pygame Interface for dynamic actions
  • Computer Vision for movement detection
  • Virtual JoyStick for Jump Height Calibration
  • Virtual JoyStick to detect hand gestures

About

A small bot that can navigate through the field and fetch data like soil structure, atmospheric conditions and crop data that are important parameters in estimating the health and life of the crop.

This data is analysed intelligent decisions are made to increase the productiveness of farming.

It collects data from APIs to get weather forecasts and physical parameters like rainfall, humidity, etc. This combined with a model that identifies the most suitable crops to grow based on the conditions.

Kratos Space Rover

  • Stood 19th in the World and 2nd in Asia
  • Microcontroller programming and Sensor Data Fusion
  • Socket Connection for Real Time Sensor Data and Image Feed

About

In a group project, I worked as an instrumentation and design engineer in building the entire

architecture of the rover prototype that would perform various physical and biological tests to detect

biosignatures in Martian-like Environment (MDRS, Utah, Hansville).

Ankur, Senior Decision Scientist at Yoptima

Passionate Developer

Shivam is an inquisitive and passionate developer who was an integral part of the product development team and kind of a backbone for adopting newer technologies in a short period.

During his tenure, he worked on several groundbreaking technologies that eased the day to day activities and has laid solid foundations for Software Development lifecycle and Workflow Automation.

Bhushan Kshire

Bhushan, Product Manager at Yoptima

Great Decision Maker

Shivam is a great team player and a quick learner. During my tenure with him for a year and a half, I found Shivam learning technologies quickly with little to no support. What amazed me is his professional maturity, strong decision-making skills, and tendency to go the extra mile to achieve goals. His can-do attitude and diverse tech skills always helped us to deliver projects within timelines.

No doubt he would be a valuable asset for any organization.

Mridula

Mridula, Operations Executive at Eckovation

Hardworking and extremely skilled

It gives me immense pleasure to recommend Shivam Sahil. He was hired as Mentor for the MATLAB Course at Eckovation in July 2019. He was able to solve all the course-related queries and helped students to complete their course as well as finish internship projects which have numerous real-world problems.

He is hardworking and sincere towards his work. He was also responsible for the evaluation of assignments and providing proper feedback and guidance to the students during the course curriculum. On a personal level, I found Shivam knowledgeable, focused and inquisitive towards his work.
